5 apps to help manage your mental health

Between logging our calorie intake on MyFitnessPal and tracking our runs on RunKeeper (or squeezing in a 7 Minute Workout with Johnson & Johnson), we do a pretty good job of using technology to benefit our physical health. To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, we’ve rounded up the best apps designed to keep track of your mental health too.

1. Headspace

Headspace provides daily guided meditation for when you need some downtime in the big bad world. Try their free Take 10 programme to see what difference 10 minutes a day of calm, clear thinking can do for your head.

2. SAM App

Ever feel tense and anxious in certain situations? Do you find yourself plagued with worrying thoughts? This app will help keep track of what makes you feel anxious and provides a plethora of welcome distractions to help ease anxious thoughts when they arise.

3. Dream EZ

Post-traumatic stress disorder is tough to deal with, and many people can find themselves waking up from nightmares night after night, leaving them tired in the day. Dream EZ uses imagery rehearsal therapy to reduce the frequency and intensity of nightmares, so sufferers can sleep easy.
